ABOUT THIS VINTAGE
2015 was a warm year in South West France. High temperatures from April through to August ensured quality produce, and mild weather throughout September ensured a good maturation of the fruit.
Although yield remained relatively low due to a lack of rain through the summer, causing the growth of smaller berries than usual, the 2015 vintage has been ranked as one of the best of the past decade.
Clay-limestone soil throughout these plots, located at the culminating point of the property surrounding the old windmill.
HARVEST AND VINIFICATION
A late September harvest to ensure the full maturation of each plant. These grapes, selected from our best plots, are hand sorted before entering the production shed. Oak barrels fermentation and aged on lees during one year.
TASTING AND PAIRING
A pale yellow colour, the wine is crystal-clear. An aromatic nose: yellow flesh fruits, minerals. In mouth, the attack is intense and fresh. The wine is balanced and long. Fish and crustacean, white meats, and apéritifs are the perfect pairing for Château de Panisseau Blanc.
Service temperature: 8°C.
